Data Deletion Policy

At Consistency AI ("we," "our," or "us"), we respect your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated data, what information is removed during the process, the timeline for completion, and any data that may be retained under legal obligation.


1. Your Right to Deletion

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your Consistency AI account and all personal data associated with it at any time. This right is available to all users regardless of geographic location.

We have designed our deletion process to be straightforward and accessible, offering two distinct methods to initiate the request.


2. How to Request Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and data using either of the following methods:

Method A: In-App Account Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest and most convenient way to delete your account is directly within the Consistency AI app:

1 Open the Consistency AI app

Launch the app on your iOS or Android device and ensure you are signed in to the account you wish to delete.

2 Navigate to Settings

Tap on the profile or settings icon, typically located in the bottom navigation bar or the top corner of the home screen.

3 Select "Account"

Within the Settings menu, locate and tap on the "Account" or "Account Settings" option.

4 Tap "Delete Account"

Scroll to the bottom of the Account section and tap "Delete Account." This option is clearly labeled and accessible.

5 Confirm deletion

A confirmation prompt will appear detailing the consequences of account deletion. Read the information carefully and confirm your decision. This action is irreversible.

Method B: Email Request

If you are unable to access the app, or prefer to submit your request in writing, you may email us directly:

1 Compose an email

Send an email to support@consistencyai.app from the email address registered to your Consistency AI account.

2 Use a clear subject line

Set the subject line to: "Data Deletion Request"

3 Include your account details

In the body of the email, include your registered email address and, if known, your display name. This helps us locate and verify your account promptly.

4 Await confirmation

We will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days and provide a confirmation once the deletion process has been completed.


3. What Data Is Deleted

Upon successful processing of your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Account Information: Your display name, email address, profile photograph, and authentication credentials.
  • Habit Data: All habits you created, including goal descriptions, categories, frequency settings, and custom configurations.
  • Progress Records: Streak data, completion history, check-in logs, and milestone records.
  • Timer and Session Data: Focus timer logs, session durations, and all associated timestamps.
  • Notes and Reflections: Any personal notes, journal entries, or reflections you recorded within the app.
  • Preferences and Settings: Notification preferences, theme settings, and any other in-app customizations.

4. Deletion Timeline

  • In-App Deletion: When you delete your account through the app, your data is queued for immediate deletion. The process is typically completed within thirty (30) calendar days.
  • Email-Based Requests: Email requests are acknowledged within five (5) business days. The deletion process is completed within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of acknowledgment.
  • Backup Systems: Residual copies of your data in encrypted backups may persist for up to an additional sixty (60) days, after which they are permanently purged during the normal backup rotation cycle.

During the deletion period, your account will be deactivated immediately, and you will no longer be able to sign in or access any of your data.


5. Data That May Be Retained

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information beyond the standard deletion timeline. Such retention is strictly limited to the following scenarios:

  • Legal Obligations: Where we are required by applicable law, regulation, or court order to retain specific records (such as transaction records or compliance documentation).
  • Dispute Resolution: Where there is an ongoing dispute, legal claim, or investigation that requires preservation of relevant records until the matter is fully resolved.
  • Fraud Prevention: Minimal data necessary to prevent re-registration by users who were terminated for violations of our Terms of Service, limited to hashed identifiers that cannot be used to reconstruct personal information.
  • Aggregated and Anonymized Data: Statistical and analytical data that has been irreversibly anonymized and cannot, by any means, be linked back to you as an individual. This data is used solely to understand aggregate usage trends.

In all retention scenarios, the scope of retained data is limited to the minimum necessary, and the data is securely stored with restricted access.


6. Consequences of Account Deletion

Before proceeding with account deletion, please be aware of the following:

  • Irreversibility: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once processed, your data cannot be recovered.
  • Loss of Streaks and Progress: All habit streaks, progress history, and achievement records will be permanently lost.
  • No Data Export Post-Deletion: Once the deletion process begins, data export is no longer possible. If you wish to retain a copy of your data, please request a data export before initiating deletion.
  • Re-Registration: You may create a new Consistency AI account after deletion, but it will start fresh with no prior data or history.

7. Data Export Before Deletion

We encourage you to export your data before requesting deletion. To request a data export, send an email to support@consistencyai.app with the subject line "Data Export Request" from your registered email address. We will provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format (such as JSON or CSV) within fifteen (15) business days.


8. Third-Party Authentication Data

Deleting your Consistency AI account removes all data stored on our systems. However, it does not revoke permissions granted to Consistency AI through third-party authentication providers. To fully disconnect:

  • Google: Visit your Google Account permissions page and revoke access for Consistency AI.
  • Apple: Go to Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple on your Apple device and remove Consistency AI from the list of apps.
